Update 5/19/17: Nevada’s anti-BDS bill clears the Assembly committee with a 12 to 2 vote in favor. The bill now moves to the Assembly floor. Use the form below and urge your Assemblymember to support this key legislation on the Assembly floor!

The Nevada legislature is considering an anti-BDS bill filed by Lt. Gov. Mark Hutchison.

This bill prohibits the state from contracting with companies that are engaged in discriminatory boycotts against Israeli businesses. Singling out and refusing to deal with a business owner simply because they are Israeli is a form of discrimination and taxpayer funds should not be used to subsidize this conduct.

The bill sends a clear message that hate and bigotry have no place in Nevada and follows similar anti-BDS laws passed in several other states and underscores the strength of the Nevada-Israel relationship.
