Update 4/7/17: Nevada’s anti-BDS bill clears the Senate committee with a unanimous vote in favor. The bill now moves to the Senate floor. Use the form below and send a thank you note to Senate committee members and urge your Senator to support this key legislation on the Senate floor!
The Nevada legislature is considering an anti-BDS bill filed by Lt. Gov. Mark Hutchison.
This bill prohibits the state from contracting with companies that are engaged in discriminatory boycotts against Israeli businesses. Singling out and refusing to deal with a business owner simply because they are Israeli is a form of discrimination and taxpayer funds should not be used to subsidize this conduct.
The bill sends a clear message that hate and bigotry have no place in Nevada and follows similar anti-BDS laws passed in several other states and underscores the strength of the Nevada-Israel relationship.
