IAC for Action commends the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for approving S. 1697, the Taylor Force Act. This important piece of legislation, authored by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), advances the prospects for peace by conditioning continued U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA) on the PA ending its policy of financially rewarding terrorists and their families.
The legislation is named after Taylor Force – a U.S. Army officer who visited Israel last year with a delegation of MBA students from Vanderbilt University – who was brutally stabbed to death by a Palestinian terrorist in Tel Aviv.
IAC for Action has been working to ensure that this legislation receives bipartisan support. Today’s overwhelming, bipartisan vote shows that the U.S. Congress is committed to holding the PA accountable for its morally reprehensible policy and therefore advancing the prospects for peace.
IAC for Action welcomes today’s bipartisan vote and encourages the full Senate to approve this measure.
