IAC for Action welcomes the introduction of two bills in the U.S. Congress that impose additional sanctions on Iran.
In the House, Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) and Ranking Member Eliot Engel (D-NY) introduced H.R. 1698, The Iran Ballistic Missiles and International Sanctions Enforcement Act.
In the Senate, Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-TN) and Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) introduced S. 722, The Countering Iran’s Destabilizing Activities Act.
Among other provisions, these bills target Iran’s illicit ballistic missile program and its conventional arms procurement. As the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism, Iran poses a serious threat to the international community with these military activities – and must be stopped.
