Congress has introduced an important resolution encouraging enhanced collaboration between the U.S. and Israel in the science and technology sectors. H.Res. 218 and S.Res. 90, Recognizing the Importance of the United States-Israel Economic Relationship and Encouraging New Areas of Cooperation, was introduced in the House by Reps. Ted Lieu (D-CA) and Ted Poe (R-TX), and in the Senate by Sen. David Perdue (R-GA), Chris Coons (D-DE), Cory Gardner (R-CO), and Jon Tester (D-MT).
Upon introduction of the Resolution, Rep. Ted Lieu said “The U.S.-Israel economic partnership has become one of the most exciting aspects of the bilateral relationship. Our joint research institutions are collaborating on life-changing medical breakthroughs, and our technology sectors are fueling ground-breaking innovations from Silicon Beach to Silicon Wadi. I am proud to introduce this legislation to send strong, bipartisan support for deepening U.S.-Israel cooperation in promising fields like energy, water conservation, neurotechnology and cybersecurity.”
This resolution will strengthen the rapidly growing U.S.-Israel economic partnership.
