While BDS continues its campaign to delegitimize Israel, more cities, and states across the U.S. are denouncing the movement. Officials in the New Jersey city of Bergenfield passed a resolution denouncing the BDS Movement, echoing the City of Englewood which passed a similar resolution in September.
“The BDS Movement has spread hate and fostered discrimination across the country in its campaign to delegitimize Israel. America’s lawmakers and communities are no longer standing idly by,” the Israeli American Council said in a statement. “We have been heartened and supportive of initiatives in the U.S. Congress and by state and local governments across the country, including in New Jersey, to address this hate movement.”
We encourage more American cities and states to take a stance against the BDS movement through similar resolutions.
